Fragment of Depth is a visual narrative about transformation, inner strength, and the possibilities that lie beneath the surface of what we see. Its layered relief structure evokes the SEA—its depth, constant movement, and ever-changing nature – as a metaphor for the human inner world.
 
The deep blue colour is not merely a representation of the sea, but a symbol of depth, silence, and a space for reflection. It invites the viewer to pause and immerse themselves in their thoughts, discovering that behind every change lies the possibility of a new beginning.
 
The work is made from discarded cardboard egg packaging which, through transformation, has been given new life and new meaning. In this way, it reminds us that what may initially appear discarded can become valuable and open up space for new possibilities.
 
The relief speaks of the power of transformation and the belief that within each of us lie unexplored depths from which new perspectives, new experiences, and new hope can emerge.
 
The sculpture was created as part of the Multisensory Art project, co-funded by the European Union through the Creative Europe programme. The project focuses on including blind and visually impaired people in the cultural and artistic life of the community, as well as developing accessible, multisensory ways of experiencing art.
