Iris Lobaš: Musical

Cycle Iris Lobaš: Musical examines a figural form smaller in size and made of a new material, painted papier-mâché. The sculptural interpretation of the body in motion finds the idea of dynamism, striking chromatic register and conceptual charge in the musical Moulin Rouge directed by the Australian director, screenwriter and producer Baz Luhrmann. The harmony of materialized figures celebrates life and emanates youthful playfulness. It is not expressed solely by the structure of epidermis, the movement dynamics or the selection of the accentuated (musical) theme, but mostly by the uniform, striking pigment which covers the structure of the sculpture epidermis.
