Sculpture The dancer was selected by academic sculptor Ivan Kožarić for the Aquarius sculpture park at Jarun lake in Zagreb in the open tender procedure for young artists. It was also my graduate thesis at the Academy of Fine Arts in Zagreb.

Arte povera was the main guiding principle in making this sculpture from the recycled cardboard egg cartons. The use of consumables subtly refers to the universal commercialism of modern society. The sophisticated dance movement of a figure cooped up in the dance cage draws parallels between the nightlife subculture of the club in front of which it was placed and the ubiquitous consumerism of the modern population.
